Spice up your life with these 3 Samyang Noodle recipes!

A tingling, burning sensation on your tongue that spreads like wildfire to the rest of your mouth, causing red, watery eyes and a dripping nose…and yet you cannot resist another mouthful of springy noodles coated in red hot sauce. Yes, this is an experience brought on by a taste of Samyang’s Buldak ‘Fire Noodles’!

Hailing from South Korea, Samyang Foods developed Korea’s first instant noodle in 1961. As instant noodles quickly became a staple in many households, the company grew leaps and bounds with exports to over 100 countries. In 2012, Samyang launched the iconic Buldak Chicken Ramen, otherwise known as Korean fire noodles in a spicy chicken flavour. These noodles exploded in popularity in 2012 with YouTubers and influencers taking on the ‘Fire Noodle Challenge’ where hosts challenge each other to finish the noodles without taking a sip of water.

Now, there are more than 20 types of Samyang Buldak noodles, ranging from 3X spicy and 2X spicy to carbonara, habanero lime, stew, curry, kimchi, jjajang, corn, cheese, yakisoba, tomato pasta and many more. Samyang has also released condiments, sauces, topokki and snacks.

There are a few things that make Samyang noodles so good. Made with high-quality wheat flour and cooked to perfection, the noodles are chewy, springy and flavourful. The sauces that come with Samyang noodles are deliciously addictive as it is made with a variety of spices, including gochugaru (Korean chili flakes), gochujang (Korean chili paste), and garlic.

Samyang noodles can be eaten on their own or used as a base for other dishes. Simply add vegetables, eggs, or meat to your Samyang noodles to make a more complete meal. You can also use Samyang noodles to make stir-fries, soups, and appetisers.
